The International Visitors Leadership Program was launched during World War II by the U.S. State Department. There are now 103 community-based Councils for International Visitors throughout the United States. PTCIV was founded in 1989 and since then have hosted over 1100 foreign guests in the Triad.

The foreign visitors are chosen by our Embassies around the world as emerging leaders. Over 330 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government have engaged with Americans on the National program.

The PTCIV arranges and hosts professional meetings with Triad businesses,   government officials, academic and other dignitaries. The council also arranges cultural events and home hospitality appropriate for the visitors. Lodging is provided at local hotels.

The PTCIV is a volunteer organization to provide visitors the activities mentioned above and become involved as citizen diplomats.  Our social activities also provide members the opportunity to meet our visitors. PTCIV is incorporated as a non-profit organization with a 501c (3) tax-free status.

For our Sponsor and Benefactor members we offer opportunities to host special events for the International Visitors.
